Although we sell our bikes online, we would always encourage you to purchase through one of our appointed dealers. By buying a bike in person at a good cycle shop will you will get the benefit of a more specialist and local service, the bike will be properly set-up for you and any upgrades or accessories can be fitted for you at the time.

It’s true that bikes sold on the internet have a bad reputation within the cycle trade. However, this is primarily due to the appalling quality of many mail-order ‘catalogue’ offerings (see the excellent article on this subject by Paul at South Coast Bikes here). In essence you get what you pay for; spending little and getting great value is as unlikely with a bike as it is with any other product.
If you buy a cheap bike and expect something that will be a pleasure to ride straight out of the box - and last for many years - you will undoubtedly be disappointed. If you aren’t put off cycling altogether by this type of purchase (and many sadly are), you will ultimately spend more on repairs – or complete replacement - than you would have done buying a decent bike in the first place!
