Purchasing
Making a purchase on our site could not be easier. Just browse our catalogue, click on any items that you wish to buy and add them to your shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on "Checkout" and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order. You can check the contents of your cart anytime by clicking the ‘My Cart’ link at bottom left of the screen.

Although we try to ensure our website is as up to date as possible occasionally some products may be sold out or possibly discontinued before we have had chance to update the site. In this instance you will be contacted as swiftly as possible to notify you of this and either offer alternatives and/or advise on the expected delivery date for the item(s) required. You can also cancel the item(s) and we will issue a refund.

Some products may be described as being available ‘to order only’ (usually in red text). This means that they are generally kept in our supplier’s stock inventory rather than ours and are ordered-in when you place your order. This process may mean a small delay in sending out your order, as we like to send everything together.

If you select a ‘fitting’ option, we need to schedule the work in our workshop, which may also incur a short delay. We may also need to obtain specific part(s) before we undertake the work. We will advise by email of the time we expect this to take. Fitting of some items means we cannot fold and repack the bike into the shipping box for dispatch. Again we will advise if this is the case and you have the option to collect the completed bike, or fit the part/accessory yourself.
Please see ‘Returns’ section below for details about parts and accessories that have been fitted to your bike.

Payments & Currency
We accept credit and debit card payments. All transactions on our website are in GB Pounds (Sterling). If you are purchasing from outside of the UK, your credit/debit card provider will normally convert the transaction to your own currency on your statement.

Regular delivery is by Parcleforce 24-48 hour service (for mainland UK). For orders to mainland Europe (EU) and further afield, we may use an alternative carrier. All deliveries require a signature.

For most UK deliveries, carriage costs are free of charge for bikes and for parts & accessories ordered at the same time as a bike.

We put a lot of time and effort into describing and photographing the products we sell using manufacturer's images, website links, catalogues, our own photography and often our own descriptions of the products. Although we aim that every picture and description is 100% accurate, mistakes do occur so let us know if you see or read something that isn’t correct. If you have purchased something based on a picture or description on the website which turns out to be incorrect we will be happy to replace or refund the product (unused). See Returns policy below.

Montague Bicycles (UK) Ltd regularly updates the availability of the stock list on this website. Items that are 'Out Of Stock' will be displayed as such and cannot be placed in your cart. In the rare event of a problem with availability of a product supposedly 'In Stock', we will contact you. You may then wish to cancel the order or wait until the item becomes available.
